Art Deco 18K
Art Deco 18K
This Art Deco ladies' watch in 18-karat white gold is elegant and very typical of the late 1920s to early 1930s. The rectangular case measures 14 x 31 mm, is sharply hand-engraved all around, and features blue inlays, presumably sapphire, at the four corners. The inside is engraved with "S. Bruner." S. Bruner was a New York jeweler and casemaker of this era, known for his finely engraved 18-karat and platinum Art Deco cases, often featuring blue cornerstones and milgrain edges. The dial has an honest patina, Arabic numerals in Art Deco style, and delicate leaf-shaped hands. A blue cabochon sits atop the crown, further emphasizing its jewelry-like character. It houses a Swiss-made, 17-jewel, hand-wound movement by Banner Watch Co.
