Baume & Mercier Shogun 5236.018.3
Baume & Mercier Shogun 5236.018.3
It is the little sister of the Shogun and has since earned the nickname "Glitch Watch" among collectors. It features a stepped case and a bracelet that looks as if it is made up of polygons, topped with an 18-carat yellow gold bezel. The design looks like it got stuck during the texture calculation of an early video game – and that is exactly what gives it its charm.
The 26 mm stainless steel case and bracelet bring the distinctive design language of the men's model into a more feminine dimension. The white dial features black Roman numerals, gold indices and hands, as well as a reliable Swiss quartz movement and a date window at 6 o'clock. Together with the 34 mm men's watch, it forms one of the most characteristic his-and-hers pairs that the sporty luxury of the 90s has to offer.
The vintage condition is honest: the dial is clean, the case and bracelet show fine, age-related signs of wear. The original B&M bracelet features a signed folding clasp.
