Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms – Ocean of Storms

Launched in 1953, Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms is considered one of the first modern dive watches. In 2023, Swatch brought the design icon into the Bioceramic world in collaboration with Blancpain. Ocean of Storms is the all-black model in the second series. It is named after Oceanus Procellarum, the largest “sea” on the Moon, formed by volcanic eruptions and dark basalt flows. Accordingly, the Watches is finished in various shades of black. Case, bezel, dial and strap. The only contrasting details are the cream-colored luminous material, the yellow tip of the seconds hand and the yellow depth rating “91 m / 300 ft”.

The dial adopts the design language of the historic Fifty Fathoms. It features large Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12, triangular indexes and broad sword hands. The date is located between 4 and 5 Watches. The unidirectional rotating bezel with a luminous diamond at zero recalls professional dive watches of the 1950s. Inside is the Swatch Sistem51 automatic movement with a 90-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the exhibition caseback, printed with a lunar surface and a nudibranch with yellow tips. The Bioceramic case measures approx. 42 mm, is lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The Watches is in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear. It comes as a Full Set with original case, booklet, warranty card and additional strap. This is a modern Watches with a genuine dive watch heritage, ideal for anyone who wants to wear the Fifty Fathoms DNA on their wrist without any fuss.
