There are few Watches that bring industrial design history to the wrist as consistently as the IWC Porsche Design. Designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche – the man behind the Porsche 911 – and manufactured by IWC in Schaffhausen, this collection was the ultimate for anyone in the 1980s and 1990s who wanted to see design and engineering combined in one object. The reference IW3335 embodies this spirit in its purest form: a titanium case with an integrated titanium bracelet, accented by a polished gold bezel and a gold-plated crown.

The matte black dial is a masterpiece of reduction. "PORSCHE DESIGN" below 12 o’clock, "by IWC" above 6 o’clock, rectangular luminous indices, slim gold-plated baton hands, and a red seconds hand as the only color accent – nothing more is needed. The date window at 6 o’clock discreetly blends into the minimalist composition. Every element has its place; no element is superfluous. F.A. Porsche used to say that good design is achieved when nothing more can be removed – this Watch is proof of that.

The choice of titanium as case and bracelet material was revolutionary in the 1980s. Titanium is about 40% lighter than stainless steel, yet harder and hypoallergenic. The characteristic dark gray, matte surface of titanium forms an appealing contrast to the polished gold bezel and gives the piece its distinctive silhouette. The integrated titanium bracelet flows seamlessly into the case and carries the stylized "PD" Porsche Design logo on the folding clasp.
