IWC Yacht Club Automatic Ref. 811
IWC Yacht Club Automatic Ref. 811
An absolute design classic from the 1960s and 1970s with strong maritime DNA. The Yacht Club Reference 811 is considered one of IWC's most successful creations, whose iconic ‘C-shape’ case is often associated with legendary designer Gérald Genta. The silver-brushed dial with a fine vertical finish features applied baton indices with black inserts, matching bar hands and the date at 3 o'clock. It combines timeless elegance with the robustness for which the Yacht Club series became famous.
Inside, the renowned IWC-manufactured 8541B calibre is at work. It features the legendary Pellaton winding system – a technical masterpiece known for its extreme efficiency and durability. A special collector's detail is the original ‘fish crown’. The watch is in honest, authentic vintage condition. The case shows visible signs of wear and scratches, which underline the character of the watch. The original Hesalite glass has the typical age-related microcracks (crazing) on the edge (between 6 and 8 o'clock), but these hardly affect the readability. It runs smoothly and keeps time reliably.
