Longines Conquest 1505-1

At Longines, the name “Conquest” has stood for robust, everyday elegance since the 1950s. This reference 1505-1 shows the line in its purest form. The silver dial has a fine linen texture that shimmers softly depending on the light. It features applied baton indices with black inlay and small tritium luminous dots. The hands are also black-inlaid and have luminous tips. The date at 3 Watches is housed in a faceted frame. “Longines” appears at the top and “Conquest” at the bottom. This dial needs nothing more.

Inside is the Longines caliber 6952, a manual-winding movement with 17 jewels and a date function. The movement is finely finished and attractively decorated, with gilt engravings on the bridges. The daily winding routine is part of the ritual with this Watches. The slim steel case with polished bezel and straight lugs wears flat and unobtrusively. The Watches fits under any cuff and is just as comfortable to wear every day. On the inside of the case back are the Longines logo with the winged hourglass, reference 1505 1, and caliber number 6952.

The Watches is in honest vintage condition. The dial is very well preserved. The luminous material has aged to an even cream color. Slight discoloration is visible on the hands, especially on the hour hand near the center. The crystal has fine scratches, especially around the edge. The case, lugs, and case back show signs of wear and scratches.
