A beautiful early Omega in a steel case with an authentic patina. A special feature is ‘FAB. SUISSE’ on the dial. This historical export marking for the French market is rarely found and makes the watch more interesting to collectors. This marking was mandatory in the 1940s and early 1950s, is rarer to find today and makes the watch more interesting for collectors. The dial has aged to a golden colour, the small seconds are located at 6 o'clock, there are applied numerals and baton indices, the acrylic glass is domed and the crown is signed. The watch has a classic, flat profile.

Inside, the reliable and robust Omega 265 hand-wound movement is at work. A visual inspection reveals a clean result and the movement runs smoothly. The case back is correctly stamped with 2495-11 on the inside.

The overall condition is good, with a distinct, even patina on the dial, scratches on the glass and signs of wear on the case, which has not been polished. There is no service record.
