Omega Constellation «C-Case» 168.017
Omega Constellation «C-Case» – A Design Icon by Gérald Genta
The Omega Constellation Reference 168.017 is a true design icon of the 1960s and marks a turning point in the history of the classic wristwatch. The famous «C-Case» case was designed by the legendary Gérald Genta, who later also shaped the Nautilus and Royal Oak. The champagne-colored dial with fine sunburst finish features applied gold indices with black inlays, matching hands, and a practical date window at 3 o’clock.
A special highlight for collectors is the gold-capped case (Gold Capped), which bears the iconic Constellation medallion on the back. This shows the Geneva Observatory under eight stars – the symbol of the outstanding chronometer results Omega achieved in this era. Inside works an automatic chronometer movement from the proven 500 series, known for its exceptional precision and durability. The watch is worn on the rare brick-link bracelet (brick pattern) with Omega folding clasp, emphasizing its luxurious vintage character.
