The De Ville line was Omega's answer since the early 1960s to the demand for elegant dresswatches apart from the sporty Seamaster and Speedmaster models. With the Tank format, Omega picked up a design theme in the 1970s that had been a fixed canon of luxury watches for decades and reinterpreted it with typically Swiss restraint – slimmer, flatter, more straightforward.

The gold-plated rectangular case measures a generous 28.5 x 37 mm and frames a silver sunburst dial structured by black Roman numerals from I to XII and a fine decorative inner frame. The small Omega logo and the "DE VILLE QUARTZ" inscription are centrally placed, with a discreet "SWISS MADE" at the bottom edge. Slim black baton hands run over the dial, giving the display a graphic clarity reminiscent of classic Art Deco watches from the 1920s. No seconds, no date – pure elegance in its purest form.

Inside works the Omega caliber 1330, one of the early Omega quartz movements that combined the precision of the quartz revolution with Omega's proven watchmaking craftsmanship in the late 70s.
